2 M1 rifle stocks. First stock. A1940/41 vintage stock. The long channel stock has several rebuild markings, no visible original cartouche, other than a half-inch crack in front of the rear sling swivel inlet there are no cracks, the stock is solid, it has a sharp edge to the pistol grip, there are a minimal number of dings and bruises. The original firing proof is sharp and distinct, the stock has two additional firing proofs. Obviously the stock has been altered to accept a trapped buttplate. Rare stock. Second stock. A late model McFarland inspected M1 stock. The stock has no cracks, no rebuild markings, no repairs. Some dents and bruises the worst of which is pictured. The left side of the stock matches the right side with the exception of the large gouge as pictured.
