Remington manufactured hand guards for the 1903 rifle. These hand guards closely resemble the pre-1919 1903 hand guard in that it has the distinctive “hi hump” profile. Hand guard is in very good condition with no cracks. The Remington hand guard can be distinguished from a Springfield manufactured version by the length of the sighting groove, the size of the windage knob clearance and the inletting for the front band. In the comparison photo the Springfield hand guard is on top.
