Description
A project for those that have some time on their hands. We have a few of these interesting Krag carbines available. These Krags were altered into different configurations for use in movies during the 1930s. One in particular is the 1939 movie Gunga Din. Toward the end of the movie when the actors are on the top of the temple one of these Krags is plainly visible. What are we offering? The action is complete, the side plate as a screw through the side that held an additional follower to facilitate repeated firings using blanks. The barrel is an original Krag carbine barrel, the stock is an original carbine stock that has been cut off at the barrel band. The barrel band is a rifle band, the walnut extension forward of the band is from trying to make the Krag appear to be something other than what it is.One could reshape this to carbine front end. The handguard is going to need work, cracks and slivers of wood missing. The rear sight is missing the elevation ladder. One of the project Krag carbines that has been restored is pictured.
THE DUPAGE TRADING COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT THIS FIREARM. ONE SHOULD CONSULT A CERTIFIED GUNSMITH WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH THIS TYPE OF FIREARM AND CAN ADVISE THE POTENTIAL DANGERS OF ACTUALLY SHOOTING THESE 100+-YEAR-OLD RIFLES
