1944 vintage M1 rifle stock #2. The stock has no cracks, and ancient arsenal dent repair is on the right side near the rear swivel inlet., and no rack numbers. The stock has a sharp edge to the pistol grip and a minimum number of dents and bruises. The boxed cartouche is sharp and distinct with the top and bottom portion of the box not visible due to the curvature of the stock. In addition the crossed cannons, firing proof, and ordinance stock inspectors cannons are sharp. What appears to be a Augusta Arsenal stamp is to the right of the crossed cannons, in addition a small P is stamped next to the firing proof. The stock has a pleasing 70-year-old patina.
