Description
Model 1873 Springfield “trapdoor”carbine. Serial number indicates a April 1883 production date. The breech block is dated model 1873, the carbine was updated and sports a model 1884 carbine rear sight and a model 1890 sight protector. All markings are sharp, no pitting. The original carbine stock was broken at the wrist and as been expertly repaired by Sparks in Tucson Arizona.
