Description:

Model 1898 Krag rifle. Late production, made in 1903. Has a model 1902 rear sight, and it is in the 400,000 serial number range. Solid stock with no cracks and a very distinct inspectors mark. Numerous dings and dents on the stock and hand guard, very little finish remaining on the action but no rust or pitting, 20% original blue on the barrel. The bore, has strong rifling but shows evidence of some erosion. All in all a respectable example of a interesting US military rifle
